The distillery tour and tasting at High West Whiskey in Park City was definitely a highlight of our trip to Utah. Terry, our guide, showed us the ins and outs of the distillery and then doubled as our bartender as we bellied up to the bar for a tasting. If you’re ever in Park City, check out High West!

Ben and I headed to Utah for five days over New Year’s weekend to visit my sister and bro-in-law. Crazy warm temps, snowshoeing, great food and a trip to Moab kept us pretty busy. Fun times!

This weekend we were in my grandparent’s now former house, taking a look at some of the things that they either couldn’t (wallpaper and lakeshore views) or didn’t want to (old hat boxes and travel journals) take with them. Below are some of the gems I found:

My 92 year-old grandparents recently moved out of the home they’d lived in for the past 70 years. It was a hard era to close but they’re adjusting quite well to their new place.

Ben and I went to visit them in their new digs, which called for a few portraits, a few gimlets and some documentation of the ‘travel display’ that I remember peering into as a little kid.
