Katie and Brian came over last week to make us sushi for our housewarming gift. Brian did an amazing job hand-crafting a variety of sushi rolls and nagiri. He could totally compete with our local Nami and Fuji Ya sushi restaurants.

These pieces of toffee were such a great touch to the dinner tables at M and T’s wedding. As you can read on the tag, the toffee was made from a recipe passed down from the bride’s great-grandfather.

All flowers came from the bride’s mother’s garden. Very impressive and so beautiful!

My friend Andrew introduced me to Java Jack’s yesterday. It’s a neighborhood favorite of his, with outdoor seating and garage door walls that pull up and out of the way when they weather is nice. Good coffee and pastries on Bryant and 46th in Minneapolis.
